Bashar Albaghli — Research Consultant
I support academic and applied research projects by developing robust psychological measurement instruments - from construct definition to psychometric validation.
I work with researchers, institutions, and organisations to design and validate assessments that are theoretically grounded, statistically sound, and usable in practice.
I work as a research partner rather than a vendor. Engagements are structured, transparent, and driven by methodological rigour.
I am a research consultant specialising in the design and validation of assessments for academic and applied research.
I hold a PhD in Social and Behavioural Psychology from the University of St Andrews and have over a decade of experience developing surveys, questionnaires, and measurement instruments across diverse research contexts. My work spans the full research lifecycle, from construct definition and instrument development to psychometric validation and interpretation.
I have served as chief researcher on large-scale projects examining research culture in UK universities, collaborating with academics across institutions and disciplines, including work extended to the University of Glasgow. This experience informs both academic outputs and applied decision-making.
My research has been published in peer-reviewed journals, and I regularly support projects that require methodological rigour, transparency, and defensible measurement. I also have experience teaching and supervising students in higher education in the UK and the Middle East.
Across all engagements, my focus is on producing work that is conceptually sound, empirically robust, and appropriate for real-world use.
If you are designing a new assessment or need to validate an existing one, I’m happy to review your project and advise on next steps.
